Brisbane IT Telecomms IT - Other Long term contract Brisbane based | Hybrid working environment Large enterprise organisation We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support the delivery of data and analytics solutions within a complex enterprise organisation.
This role will play a critical part in ensuring the successful delivery of scalable, high quality data capabilities that support business reporting, analytics and decision making.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing data and digital transformation program, working across multiple workstreams including data engineering, integration, data modelling, automation and analytics enablement.
Key Responsibilities – Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data solutions.
– Develop data ingestion, transformation and orchestration processes.
– Deliver high quality data assets to support reporting and analytics requirements.
– Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into practical data solutions.
– Contribute to solution design, data modelling and engineering best practices.
– Conduct testing, peer reviews and quality assurance activities.
– Support deployment, release management and operational readiness activities.
– Maintain technical documentation and development standards.
– Participate in Agile planning and delivery activities.
– Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and reusable engineering frameworks.
About You You will bring strong experience as a Senior Data Engineer working across complex, multi-stream projects,



with the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering robust and scalable data solutions in a collaborative workplace.
Essential Experience – 5+ years' experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering or Data Warehousing.
– Strong hands-on experience developing modern cloud-based data solutions.
– Advanced SQL development, optimisation and troubleshooting skills.
– Experience using Python and PySpark.
– Experience building and supporting data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
– Strong understanding of data modelling and data warehousing principles.
– Experience with source control, CI/CD and deployment automation.
– Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
– Demonstrated experience working within Agile delivery teams.
Highly Regarded – Databricks platform experience.
– AWS cloud technologies.
– Fivetran or similar data integration tools.
– Data quality, monitoring and observability practices.
– Experience working in large enterprise environments.
– Experience developing reusable frameworks and engineering standards.
– Previous experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to team members.
