You will not be simply filling roles.
You will be pulling down the barriers that too often keep skilled ex military personnel out of civilian careers, whether that is translating military experience into language our hiring managers understand, being the person on the ground who actually gets what transitioning out of the Defence Force is like and offering high level support through the recruitment process or sitting in on interviews to offer expertise and consultation around translatable skills.
You will proactively build relationships with candidates including veterans through phonecreening, make recommendations on suitability for roles and talent pool for roles in the future.
You will build and maintain relationships with veteran organisations and turn those relationships into strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities Join our team as a Talent Acquisition Partner focused on veteran recruitment.
You will work closely with our Recruitment Operations team, Workforce Planning, Capability leads and hiring managers, you will focus on our short and medium term resourcing needs.
You will: Develop and maintain a military to civilian role mapping framework that aligns defence force ranks, trades and employment categories with career opportunities across ASC.
Own and drive ASC's veteran recruitment strategy, working hand in hand both internal and external stakeholders to deliver recruitment outcomes.
Identify and overcome barriers in our recruitment process, to ensure smooth transition for veterans in to civilian roles.
Develop and execute short, mid and long term talent acquisition strategies to meet forecasted workforce needs Support the creation and maintenance of talent communities to ensure a steady pipeline of veteran candidates Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to enhance ASC's employer brand within the veteran community Identify active talent in the market and work with Recruitment Operations and Heads of Capability to fulfil immediate resource demands Provide strategic recruitment advice and guidance to business units, ensuring alignment with ASC's policies and procedures About you Genuine understanding of or lived experience with military transition and the challenges veterans face moving into civilian careers Demonstrated experience in recruitment or talent acquisition functions Experience leading recruitment partnering solutions within a complex program Ability to grow and maintain strong and trusted stakeholder relationships,
including with Defence and veteran organisations Effective project management and time management skills to plan workload, manage priorities and meet deadlines A proactive self starter who can work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities Naturally inquisitive and confident questioning areas of uncertainty Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
