$***** per hour + super | Day Shift, 7:00am-3:00pm Potential for permanency after 3-6 months based on performance Seven Hills location | Consistent weekday work We are currently seeking reliable and hands-on Production Operators/ Assemblers to join a busy manufacturing and production environment based in Seven Hills.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for consistent full-time hours while employed on a casual basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent position after 3-6 months based on performance, reliability and business requirements.
About the Role You will be responsible for the cutting, preparation and assembly of blinds and shutters, ensuring finished products meet required measurements, specifications and quality standards.
Day-to-Day Duties Measure and cut blinds, shutters and related materials to required specifications.
Operate cutting machines and production equipment safely and accurately.
Assemble blinds and shutters according to job specifications and measurements.
Fit components including brackets, rails, tracks, cords and operating mechanisms.
Use hand and power tools to complete assembly and finishing tasks.
Trim, adjust and modify products to ensure an accurate fit.
Check measurements and finished products for quality and accuracy.
Follow production plans, work orders and customer specifications.
Conduct quality checks throughout the production process.
Package completed blinds and shutters ready for dispatch.
Maintain a clean, organised and secure work area.
Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
Work as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.About You We are looking for candidates who are: Reliable, punctual and committed to consistent attendance.
Hands-on and comfortable working with tools and machinery.
Experienced in assembly, manufacturing, production or similar environments.
Able to accurately measure and cut materials.
Physically fit and comfortable performing repetitive manual tasks.
Comfortable standing for extended periods.
Have strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
Able to follow instructions, measurements and production specifications.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
A positive team player with a strong work ethic.
Available to commit to full-time hours on a casual basis.
Previous experience with blinds, shutters, window furnishings, carpentry, furniture assembly, manufacturing or similar hands-on work will be highly regarded.
