To develop and deliver marketing, promotional and community engagement initiatives that maximise the utilisation of Council's community facilities, strengthen community participation, and support effective facility operations through stakeholder engagement, digital content management and strategic promotion.
What you'll be doing: Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies, campaigns and activities for Council's Community Facilities; including production of promotional materials/displays, establishing and maintaining various online platforms and ongoing evaluation and reporting.
Development and effective implementation of Customer/Audience Development Plans and programs, including qualitative and quantitative data collection, evaluation and reporting.
Provide support to the Community Facilities team to increase utilisation of the facilities in response to community need.
Support Facility and Team Leaders to coordinate the planning, execution and evaluation of marketing campaigns for major events within the Community Facilities to increase utilisation and grow community/business participation including expos, community events, presentations and tours.
Support Team Leaders with the preparation of bespoke proposals for feature events to be held within Council's major venues including the Broadmeadow's Town Hall and Hume Global Learning Centres.




Develop and manage appropriate systems to ensure effective and efficient day-to-day administration including general correspondence, purchasing, document management, collation of data and reports.
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role: Demonstrated capacity to manage competing interests and to engage and work with a broad range of community groups, service providers and stakeholders.
Ability to identify the emerging needs of the population, the services and the facilities required to meet those needs.
A sound understanding of marketing and creative audience development and engagement strategies.
Demonstrated skills in managing time, setting priorities and managing a number of tasks or projects simultaneously, to achieve a broad range of outcomes with minimal direction.
Proven ability in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and staff from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Demonstrated ability to plan, set and achieve goals and objectives.
Highly developed written and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly communicate ideas to others, write reports, briefs and prepare external correspondence.
Proven capacity in working with others in a productive, structured, co-operative and integrated way.
Proven ability to problem solve and make decisions to resolve difficult situations/issues and present a positive Council image.




Required Certifications Qualifications A degree or diploma in Marketing (or a related discipline) or lesser formal qualifications with relevant work experience skills.
Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
