The Opportunity
Reporting to the Port Manager, you will lead frontline operations teams responsible for supporting Brisbane Airport's baggage handling systems and ensuring service levels are achieved. The role involves operational leadership, stakeholder management, resource planning, crisis management and continuous improvement. You will work closely with airport operators, airlines, ground handlers, screening teams and internal operational teams to deliver outstanding service in a live airport environment.




What You will Be Responsible For
Leading operational teams across a 24-hour airport environment
Managing shift performance and operational outcomes
Building solid relationships with airport and airline stakeholders
Coordinating resources to meet operational demands
Leading incident and crisis response activities
Driving safety, compliance and operational excellence
Identifying opportunities for process improvement
Coaching, developing and supporting team members
Monitoring service delivery against operational targets and performance measures
What You will Bring
Experience leading operational teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong people leadership and stakeholder management capability
Experience managing shift-based operations
Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
A focus on safety, service delivery and continuous improvement
Experience within aviation, airports, logistics, transport, manufacturing, industrial operations or other critical operational environments will be highly regarded.
