House Team Leader

About the Position
This is a
full-time, permanent role (76 hours per fortnight)
working Monday to Friday, with the optional opportunity to participate in our On-Call roster.
As a House Team Leader, you will support clients within our residential houses by assisting the Housing Coordinator and Senior staff with daily operations, staff rostering, and individual client programs. You will play a vital role in monitoring and achieving client goals while providing leadership, training, and mentoring to our Disability Support Workers.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
Supervise, coach, and mentor a team of Disability Support Workers. Ensure staff adhere to documentation standards, complete comprehensive handovers,



and manage performance via regular appraisals.
Service Delivery:
Oversee the daily operations of SIL, Community Access, and individualised client services.
Client Advocacy & Daily Care:
Actively support participants' choices and person-centred plans. Monitor and assist with daily routines, general health, personal care, menu planning, meal preparation, and transport to community appointments.
Compliance & Information Management:
Maintain highly accurate documentation and record detailed shift/incident information in line with NDIS Practice Standards and organisational policies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build solid, positive relationships with participants, families, support coordinators, and allied health professionals.
Mandatory Requirements
Qualifications:
A minimum Certificate IV in Disability or a similar qualification within the Community Services sector.
Experience:
Minimum of
2 years of experience
working in an SDA and SIL residential environment with adults, alongside a proven ability to lead a small team.
Screening:
A current NDIS Workers Screening Check (Yellow Card) or willingness to obtain one.
Training:
NDIS Induction & Orientation Modules/Certificates completed or willingness to obtain.
Transport:
A current, full Queensland Driver's Licence, plus access to a registered, roadworthy vehicle with full comprehensive insurance.
