About the role
Lead the development and oversight of holistic Recreation and Engagement programs that meet the diverse needs, preferences and aspirations of residents, as identified through assessment and ongoing consultation.
Coordinate all aspects of special events, including entertainment, catering, decorations and related logistics.
Complete comprehensive assessments, including life history, to inform and update each resident's integrated care plan.
Develop and maintain community partnerships that support meaningful engagement and enrich residents' lives.
Ensure programs reflect each resident's needs and preferences, promoting choice, independence and meaningful engagement.
Develop solid, collaborative relationships with team members to support high quality, person-centred care

About You
Minimum of a Certificate IV Leisure and Health or Certificate III/IV in Individual Support with demonstrated experience in the leisure and health field




Demonstrated experience in planning and facilitating meaningful leisure, recreation and lifestyle programs for individuals and groups
Knowledge of best practice approaches within Recreational/Diversional therapy and aged care.
Ability to undertake leisure-based assessments and care planning
Practical understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation requirements
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong digital skills with the ability to use technology to document programs accurately and to support program development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with residents, families and the care team
Understanding of ageing and dementia care, with a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing
