About the Role:
Shape the future of clinical education across St John WA.
We're looking for an accomplished clinical education leader to take responsibility for the direction, performance, quality and governance of clinical education across metropolitan and regional WA.
In this role you will lead a diverse clinical education function supporting our career and volunteer workforces and work alongside Medical Directorates, clinical governance bodies and operational leaders to ensure team members have the capability they need to deliver safe, high-quality care, today and into the future.
What You'll Lead:
This is a role with genuine organisational reach. You'll:
Build contemporary education and capability pathways that strengthen clinical competency, workforce readiness and future models of care.
Lead and develop clinical education leaders, educators and faculty, building a high-performing and sustainable education workforce.
Partner with Medical Directors and clinical governance leaders to translate clinical standards and capability priorities into effective education responses.
Drive quality, governance and continuous improvement, using data and evidence to demonstrate the impact of clinical education.
Influence across clinical and operational portfolios, balancing statewide priorities, resources, risk and emerging workforce needs.
Champion contemporary approaches including digital, blended and simulation-enabled learning to improve accessibility,
scalability and learner outcomes.
What You'll Bring:
You'll be an experienced senior leader who can operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels, setting direction, influencing senior stakeholders and turning complex workforce and clinical priorities into measurable outcomes.
You'll bring:
Proven leadership of clinical education, training or workforce capability in a complex healthcare, emergency services or similarly regulated environment.
Deep knowledge of contemporary clinical education, competency and assessment frameworks, adult learning and education governance.
A strong track record of developing leaders, educators and high-performing teams.
The judgement and influence to work effectively with senior clinical, operational and organisational leaders.
Strong analytical, financial and resource-management capability with the ability to use data and evidence to inform priorities and demonstrate impact.
A degree in a Clinical or Health Science discipline and at least 10 years' senior leadership experience within healthcare or education.
A postgraduate qualification in Education, Leadership or Management is desirable.
