An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join a leading international law firm's highly regarded Employment and Industrial Relations team in Brisbane.

The team works with major organisations across a broad range of sectors, advising on complex and high-profile employment, industrial relations and workplace safety matters.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will work closely with senior Partners in the Brisbane team, as well as Partners and lawyers across the firm's national practice.
n
The role will involve advising blue-chip clients on a diverse range of employment law, industrial relations and safety matters, with significant client exposure and the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile matters.
n
The team advises on:
n
n
Industrial disputes, enterprise bargaining and industrial action
n
Employment aspects of large-scale M&A; and projects transactions
n
Employment, anti-discrimination, safety and payroll compliance
n
Workplace investigations
n
Engagement with industrial and safety regulators, including investigations and prosecutions
n
Fair Work Commission and Court proceedings
n
Broader employment and industrial relations advisory matters
n
n
The successful Solicitor will play an important role across matters,
with opportunities to supervise and develop more junior lawyers and contribute to business development initiatives with existing and prospective clients.

The position offers extensive client contact and the opportunity to develop a strong professional network, while working alongside a highly ambitious, collaborative and technically excellent team.

The ideal candidate will have:

Admission to practice in Australia or New Zealand
n
At least 2-4 years' post-admission experience advising on a range of employment law and industrial relations matters
n
Experience gained within a leading private practice, government or in-house setting
n
Strong academic results and a commitment to ongoing professional development
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
