The role:
An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate Senior NDIS Employment Coach to join our growing NDIS employment services team.
Reporting to the NDIS Area Manager, you will provide advanced participant support while offering leadership, mentoring and guidance to Employment Coaches across the service. This role combines direct delivery of NDIS-funded employment supports with a strong focus on building capability within the team and promoting best-practice service delivery.
You will support NDIS Participants to overcome barriers to employment, build capacity and work towards sustainable employment or further education outcomes through individualised planning and person-centred service delivery.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Bachelor degree in a relevant area is preferred but not essential, or strong experience in employment services, disability services or a similar field
Demonstrated experience in NDIS or disability employment services
Knowledge and experience delivering person-centred supports
Proven ability to support people with disability to achieve employment and further education outcomes
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a broad range of key stakeholders, both internally and externally
Experience providing guidance,
mentoring or support to colleagues and contributing to team capability development
Highly developed time management and organisational skills
Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to provide outstanding customer service, both over the phone and face-to-face
Experience working with disadvantaged participant groups, including people with disability, young people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries when responding appropriately to Participant and family/carer expectations
An understanding of the barriers and challenges people experiencing unemployment face in returning to further education or the paid workforce
An impeccable reputation for honesty, trustworthiness and integrity
Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Outlook, internet and database systems
The ability to understand and interpret organisational policies, procedures and NDIS requirements
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, outcome-focused environment
