About the Role
The State Manager QLD/NT is responsible for the leadership, operational performance, financial outcomes and business growth of the Queensland and Northern Territory regions.
Reporting to the General Manager Business Enablement & Performance, this role is accountable for delivering operational excellence, maintaining strong client relationships, driving profitability and identifying new business opportunities that support the company's strategic growth objectives.
This is a primarily field-based role, with extensive travel across Queensland and the Northern Territory required. The successful candidate will maintain a visible leadership presence across client locations while supporting teams, driving service excellence and developing new business opportunitie
Key Accountabilities
Leadership & People Management
Lead, coach and develop operational leaders and frontline teams across QLD and NT.
Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability, customer service and continuous improvement.
Drive employee engagement, retention,
workforce planning and capability development initiatives.
Support leadership development and succession planning across the region.
Operational Performance & Service Delivery
Ensure security services are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations and company standards.
Conduct regular client site visits to assess operational performance and service quality.
Monitor compliance with licensing, regulatory and WHS requirements.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and customer outcomes.
Business Development & Growth
Develop and execute business development strategies that drive sustainable growth across QLD and NT.
Identify new market opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline.
Establish and maintain relationships with prospective clients and industry stakeholders.
Support tender submissions, proposals and commercial negotiations.
Work collaboratively with national teams to secure and mobilise recent contracts.
Client Relationship Management
Build strong, long-term relationships with key clients through regular face-to-face engagement.
Conduct business reviews and identify opportunities to expand service offerings.
Resolve client concerns and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
Drive customer retention and revenue growth across the region.
Manage regional budgets, profitability and commercial performance.
Analyse business trends and implement initiatives to improve financial outcomes.
Deliver accurate forecasting and reporting to senior leadership.
Field Leadership & Client Presence
Maintain a visible and active presence at client locations across QLD and NT.
Support site leaders through coaching, engagement and operational oversight.
Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Act as a trusted advisor and representative of Securitas within the region.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in senior operations management, state management or regional leadership roles.
Demonstrated success in business development, sales growth and client relationship management.
Strong commercial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial performance.
Experience leading geographically dispersed workforces in a service-based environment.
Strong understanding of compliance, risk management and operational governance.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently in a highly mobile, field-based role.
Current security industry qualifications and licences relevant to QLD and NT (or ability to obtain).
Current driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory.
