About us:Our tuckshop is a proudly school-owned and operated retail and catering service, servicing approximately 1,117 students and 160 staff each day. In addition to our regular tuckshop service, we provide in-house catering for school events and activities, making this a varied and active food service setting.We are a forward-thinking school that is continually looking at ways to improve what we offer, how we operate and how we can create a positive experience for our school community.Your opportunity:Working as part of our tuckshop team, you will assist with the day-to-day operation of a busy school food service, retail and catering environment.Your responsibilities will include:Preparing and serving food and beveragesServing students and staff in a friendly and efficient mannerProcessing in-person and online student and staff orders through FlexischoolsHandling cash, EFTPOS and other retail transactions accuratelyAssisting with food preparation and daily tuckshop operationsStock handling, including receiving, checking, storing and rotating stockSupporting food safety compliance and maintaining high standards of food handlingMaintaining appropriate workplace hygiene,



cleanliness and food safety standardsContributing to effective operational efficiency across the tuckshopAssisting with in-house catering for school events and activitiesWorking collaboratively with the Tuckshop Convenor and Retail ManagerContributing ideas and suggestions to improve our menu, service and day-to-day operationsFollowing the Smart Choices - Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy for Queensland SchoolsEngaging with the Queensland Association of School Tuckshops (QAST) and its resources, professional development and training opportunitiesPlease view the role description for a full list of responsibilities.Interested?
