About the Role
As a Travel Theatre Registered Nurse at Stanthorpe Hospital, you will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care across multiple theatre disciplines.
You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support safe, efficient, and patient-centred surgical services while participating in the on-call roster as required.
Key responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care within the theatre environment
Assist with Anaesthetic and PACU/Recovery nursing duties




Scrub and scout for a variety of surgical procedures
Support Day Surgery and Endoscopy services
Perform cannulation and utilise advanced clinical assessment skills
Respond effectively to patient deterioration and emergency situations
Participate in the theatre on-call roster as required
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, nursing, and allied health teams
Location – Stanthorpe, QLD

What you'll need
Current AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse)
Recent Theatre nursing experience
Demonstrated experience in Anaesthetics and PACU/Recovery
Experience in Scrub/Scout nursing
Experience within Day Surgery and/or Endoscopy settings
Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
Cannulation competency
Willingness to participate in an on-call roster
Australian working rights (contract role – no sponsorship available)

Location: Stanthorpe Hospital, QLD
Contract Dates: 28 September **** to 25 October ****
Hours: Up to 80 hours per fortnight
