Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for a Lead Process Engineer to join our team in Melbourne.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful applicant will be part of a busy project team delivering offshore Oil & Gas projects for our clients.ResponsibilitiesLead a high performing process engineering team delivering across a project portfolio, providing mentorship on individual performance and career developmentLiaising with the BD team to develop engineering estimates, provide proposal scope definition and project schedule inputProvides regular progress updates across a portfolio of projects which report into multiple project delivery focal pointsProcess engineering services to the client, ranging from conceptual, front-end, detailed design and close-out activities for the timely delivery of project deliverables.Completes a variety of complex process engineering studies, philosophies, computations, calculations, HYSYS and UniSim simulation (steady & dynamic) modelling, P&ID;'s, PFD's, heat and material balances, etcParticipates in all hazard identification, technical safety and risk workshop reviews
Qualifications
Degree in Chemical EngineeringChartered Qualified Engineer with over 15 years' experienceExcellent team management skills in a challenging work environmentStrong communication and stakeholder management skills are essentialMust have experience working with high value engineering centresPrior lead engineering experience on offshore O&G; projects essentialAble to apply the theories, codes and standards relevant to the O&G; industryPrior experience in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL/LOPA, MAE workshopsPrior experience with HYSYS and UniSimCandidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
