The Role
n
We're currently looking for a qualified Registered Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and at least one full year of nursing experience.
n
The Registered Nurse performs reception screening and comprehensive health assessments on persons received into custody whilst assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing management.

Our Location
n
The Metropolitan Remand and Reception Centre (MRRC)
is a maximum-security correctional facility for male offenders and is one of 3 correctional facilities within the Silverwater Correctional Complex in Sydney. Inmates who arrive at the MRRC:
n

Come directly from court on remand
n
Stay at the MRRC while they attend court in the Sydney Metropolitan Area (before returning to their home correctional centre)
n
Stay at the MRRC while they await a vacancy at a centre matching their classification.
n
n
Most offenders leave the centre within a few months of their arrival, usually because they obtain bail (and release) or transfer centre
n
