Deputy Chief Medical Imaging Technologist
Imaging Associates (IA) is a doctor-led, highly respected and fast-growing radiology business with practices across Melbourne, Gippsland and Wagga Wagga. Driven by clinical excellence and an unwavering commitment to exceptional patient care, we deliver cutting-edge diagnostic imaging services that make a meaningful difference.
Located within Wonthaggi Hospital, Imaging Associates Wonthaggi is a modern radiology clinic bringing state-of-the-art medical imaging to the Bass Coast Shire community. Patients and healthcare providers benefit from leading expertise, outstanding care and greater convenience. Through our exciting partnership with Bass Coast Health at the new community hospital in Cowes, we are also bringing advanced imaging services closer to home for the local community.
Powered by the latest technology, our Wonthaggi clinic delivers a comprehensive range of services, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray, OPG and interventional radiology procedures.
Everything we do is centred on better patient outcomes and stronger healthcare for the community. Our partnership with Bass Coast Health reflects our bold commitment to expanding access to advanced medical imaging technology across the region.
About the Role
Step into a dynamic leadership position where you'll partner with the Chief MIT and Clinical Director to inspire a high-performing team and keep both IA Wonthaggi and IA Cowes running at their best. Bringing advanced capability in at least one key modality—General, CT, MRI or mammography—you'll share your expertise, mentor talented colleagues, champion clinical excellence and help set the standard for exceptional care.
You'll help shape the clinical and commercial success of the practice, overseeing daily workflow, coordinating staffing and rosters, monitoring service quality,

and ensuring our strategic goals come to life.
A key part of your role will be building robust, positive relationships with staff, fostering a motivated and engaged culture, and supporting team members with regular feedback, coaching, development plans, and ongoing CPD opportunities.
As a trusted leader, you'll act as the go-to contact in the Chief MIT's absence across both clinics, keeping communication flowing across staff, patients, and referrers, while ensuring our clinic runs efficiently—from inventory management to quality systems, from correct billing practices to supporting hiring, onboarding, and training.
You'll collaborate closely with modality, nursing, and admin teams to ensure every clinical and non‐clinical need is met, and you'll proudly represent the practice through educational and commercial initiatives.
As this role provides leadership support across both IA Wonthaggi and IA Cowes, regular onsite presence at both locations is required which will be undertaken on a rotational basis and in line with operational requirements, ensuring robust leadership visibility, team support, and continuity of service delivery across both practices.
This is your opportunity to step into a meaningful leadership role where your clinical expertise, people-focused mindset, and passion for excellence will directly contribute to shaping a thriving, high‐quality imaging environment.
