About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide taxation advice across areas including income tax, CGT, Division 7A, GST, FBT, cross-border transactions, etc

Prepare and review a broad range of tax compliance obligations, including tax returns, financial statements, BAS, FBT returns and other taxation requirements for individuals, trusts, companies, consolidated groups, cross-border groups and SMSFs

Identify tax planning opportunities and provide proactive advice to clients

Assist clients with business and tax structuring decisions

Review work prepared by junior accountants, providing technical guidance and coaching

Contribute to the analysis of changes to taxation laws, providing insights and guidance for the benefit of our staff and clients

Collaborate with Managers and Partners on engagements and client solutions

Stay up to date with changes in Australian taxation legislation, accounting standards and industry developments

About You

5+ years' experience within a Chartered Accounting or professional services environment

Strong understanding of Australian taxation legislation and accounting principles

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

A willingness to mentor and support junior team members, sharing technical knowledge and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team culture
