What you'll do
As the Engineering Tradesperson (Electrician), you will undertake a broad range of electrical maintenance, installation and minor works activities to support the ongoing operation of facilities across the campus. You will be responsible for ensuring safe work practices are consistently followed, including the correct use of protective clothing and equipment, while delivering corrective maintenance, project works and ad hoc trade services as directed. Using your ability to interpret building plans, technical drawings and specifications, you will apply industry best practice to a variety of maintenance tasks and assist with the assessment and troubleshooting of campus communication system issues. You will liaise effectively with staff, government agencies and external contractors to ensure work is completed efficiently with minimal disruption to clients and services, while fostering positive working relationships across departments. In addition, you will maintain accurate records through the timely completion of worksheets and timesheets, actively contribute to your professional development, and participate in a rotating on-call roster to support operational requirements.
