Employment Type: Temporary Full Time (Up to 25/06/2027)
Position Classification: Counsellor Level 1 / 2, Psychologist, Social Worker Level 1 / 2
Remuneration: Dependent on Qualifications

- Counsellor & Social Worker Level 1 / 2: $40.05 - $57.14 per hour

- Psychologist: $42.19 - $61.76 per hour

Hours Per Week: 38
Location: Blacktown - Community Health Centre

Where you'll be working
Join the Integrated Violence Prevention & Response Service (IVPRS) at Blacktown Community Health Centre, delivering specialised, trauma-informed support across child protection, domestic and family violence, and sexual assault.

What you'll be doing
You will coordinate and manage referrals into the Child Protection Counselling Service while delivering high-quality early support, assessment and therapeutic interventions.

· Manage Referral Management & Early Support (RMES) processes end-to-end

· Coordinate referrals, engaging closely with stakeholders and agencies

· Provide counselling, advocacy and case management to children and families

· Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments and care planning

· Support group programs and collaborate on integrated service delivery

Essential Criteria:

· Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling

· Registration: Eligibility for appropriate professional registration or association membership

Selection Criteria:

1. Tertiary qualification (minimum bachelor's degree) in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or Graduate Certificate in Human & Community Services (Interpersonal Trauma) and eligibility for appropriate professional registration or association membership

2. Demonstrated counselling experience in complex trauma and trauma informed practice within a Violence, Abuse & Neglect setting (e.g. sexual assault, child protection or domestic violence services)

3. Demonstrated assessment, case management and counselling skills with children,



young people and adults

4. Demonstrated understanding of the inter-related dynamics and effects of sexual assault, physical abuse and neglect and domestic violence and a commitment to integrated models for working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse

5. Demonstrated understanding of intergenerational trauma and the principles of cultural safety, with experience in (or commitment to) providing culturally responsive services to individuals and families

6. Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated capacity to work with in collaboration and partnership with a wide range of key internal and external stakeholders

7. Knowledge and understanding of the legal systems, legislation and policies & procedures relating to violence, abuse and neglect

8. Current NSW Driver's License
