About the role

As a Principal House Officer - Cardiology, you will be an integral member of a high-performing Cardiology team, delivering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care across Metro North Health. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a motivated medical practitioner to further develop specialist knowledge and clinical expertise in cardiology while working alongside experienced Consultants, Registrars, Resident Medical Officers and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

- Overall management of patients in the assigned Cardiology clinical unit.
- Formulate plans of management and co-ordinate appropriate consultation with other specialties.
- Supervise the selection and arrangement of appropriate investigations.
- Upon transferring clinical care provide handover to clinician taking over care.
- Ensure appropriate documentation occurs in the patient clinical record including a discharge summary upon transferring care to another provider.
