ABOUT THE COMPANY.

Our client is a Sydney Based Local Council that is looking for a Temporary 12-month contract role to contribute to multiple current and future projects. This is a strong opportunity for someone that is looking to make an impact to rejuvenate the local community.

ABOUT THE ROLE.

You will be supporting the Urban Policy and Planning team to formulate key transport planning strategies and plans for the Council Area. This will include taking a Complete Streets approach to town centres in developing transportation across the city. Providing guidance to key stakeholders, influential comments on relevant proposals and development assessments and coordinating consultants are all critical elements of the role.

DUTIES.

- Develop key strategies and plans relevant o transport planning and infrastructure needs
- Deliver professional reports and presentations to various stakeholders
- Engage with the community to identify needs & respond to queries
- Advise Council and key stakeholders on transport planning proposals
- Undertake quantitative and qualitative research including planning matter,



emerging trends and best practice approaches

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.

- Demonstrated experience in Transport Planning, Council experience desired but not essential
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams across Council
- Extensive knowledge of Roads Act 1993 and Roads Transport Act 2013
- Managing individual projects and meet strict deadlines

REMUNERATIONS & BENEFITS.

- $66 to $72 per hour + Super
- 12 Month contract
- Up to 2 days WFH options on Wednesday and Friday
- 35-38 hour working weeks
