Our Federal Government Client provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life. They also connect anyone with disability to services in their community.
The Role:
The Technicial Lead provides advanced technical leadership in the design, development, assurance and continuous improvement of workforce modelling, forecasting and analytical systems within the Future State Modelling team.
They are responsible for designing and sustaining workforce modelling capability through the development of technical products, analytical frameworks, standards, governance practices and reusable solutions that can be maintained, enhanced and assured over time. Working within a constrained technology setting, the role applies creativity, technical ingenuity and strong systems thinking to maximise the value of enterprise-approved tools and services.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain workforce modelling, forecasting and analytical solutions that support workforce reform priorities.
- Translate complex workforce, policy and operational challenges into robust, scalable and maintainable technical products using standard enterprise tools and services
- Apply advanced technical problem-solving, solution architecture and development skills to deliver sophisticated analytical outcomes within a constrained technology environment,
maximising the capability of enterprise-approved Microsoft tools and services.
- Establish and maintain technical standards, documentation, testing, quality assurance and governance practices to ensure analytical products remain transparent, sustainable and fit for purpose.
- Provide technical leadership through mentoring, knowledge sharing, capability development and the establishment of common modelling practices that strengthen and sustain capability across the team.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience in workforce modelling, workforce planning, workforce transformation or implementation modelling within complex organisational environments.
- Strong analytical and technical capability, including forecasting, scenario modelling, assumption development, model design and the ability to develop robust analytical solutions using enterprise-approved tools and technologies.
- Advanced systems thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business problems into modellable approaches and guide the development of technical solutions that support decision-making and workforce reform outcomes.
