Werris Creek MPS is a small country health service with a dedicated team of health professionals who provide care to aged and palliative care patients within our community.
Working in a rural setting, you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with patients, residents, families and colleagues and make a meaningful contribution to the health and wellbeing of the local community.
About the role
As the Clinical Nurse Educator, you will contribute to the professional development of nursing staff and assist with the delivery of education across all levels of nursing within acute-based services.
This is an opportunity to work within a close-knit rural health service where you will play an important role in supporting the development of nursing staff and strengthening a culture of learning, evidence-based practice and high-quality care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the professional development and education of nursing staff.
- Assisting with the delivery of education and learning activities relevant to clinical practice.
- Promoting evidence-based nursing practice and a robust culture of learning.
- Supporting staff to achieve and maintain clinical skills and competencies.
- Identifying learning needs and contributing to education planning.
About you
You will be a dedicated and passionate health professional who is committed to providing high-quality education and support to nursing staff caring for our patients and residents. A background in aged care will be highly regarded.
Requirements
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA. * A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain.
