As a Senior Occupational Therapist within the Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team (MIRT), you'll play an important role in supporting adults experiencing mental health challenges to build independence, wellbeing, and participation in everyday life. From delivering advanced clinical care to driving recovery-focused outcomes in the community, you'll work with a collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to helping people achieve meaningful and lasting change.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Delivering high-quality assessments, interventions, and recovery-focused support that help people achieve their goals and improve daily functioning.
- Partnering with consumers, families, colleagues, and community services to create coordinated care pathways and positive long-term outcomes.
- Leading quality improvement initiatives that strengthen clinical practice, service effectiveness, and consumer experience.
- Providing guidance, mentoring, and professional support to colleagues while contributing to a culture of learning and excellence.

You're an experienced occupational therapist who combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion. You build trust quickly, lead with integrity, and remain focused on helping people achieve meaningful change. You enjoy working with complexity, supporting others to grow, and finding innovative ways to improve care.
Here's what will help you thrive in this role:
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist and eligibility to practise in Australia.
- Strong experience delivering mental health occupational therapy services for adults with complex needs.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead service improvement initiatives, contribute to clinical excellence, and support the development of others.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate study in mental health and/or experience leading practice improvement or service development projects.
