About the Role

The Risk Systems and Controls Analyst plays a key role in supporting the University's Risk and Compliance Management Uplift Program. Working within the Legal, Assurance and Integrity Division, you will contribute to the implementation of new controls management capabilities within the Protecht GRC platform, helping to strengthen risk, compliance and assurance practices across the University. This is an exciting opportunity to support enterprise-wide initiatives that improve governance, controls management and organisational resilience.

Key responsibilities:

- Support the implementation and migration of the University's Controls Register within the Protecht platform, ensuring accurate, complete and fit-for-purpose control information.
- Facilitate control review, validation and mapping activities with stakeholders across faculties, divisions and controlled entities.
- Coordinate testing, user acceptance activities and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance risk, compliance and controls management processes.
- Develop user guidance, training materials and implementation support resources to drive system adoption and successful project outcomes.

About the Team

The Risk Systems and Controls Analyst sits within the Risk, Compliance and Assurance Unit, part of the Integrity, Legal and Governance Division in the Vice President Operations Portfolio. The team works collaboratively across the University to strengthen risk management, compliance and assurance capability in an increasingly complex and highly regulated environment.

Working closely with the Senior Manager, Risk and Assurance,



Compliance Manager and a broad range of stakeholders, the team is leading significant initiatives to optimise the University's Governance, Risk and Compliance systems and establish a more integrated approach to controls management.

What You'll Bring

- A degree in business, information systems, risk management, compliance, governance or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience.
- Experience supporting Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems, Protecht or a similar platform.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to system enhancement, process improvement or implementation projects, including testing, documentation, data migration and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of risk, compliance, controls management, assurance or internal audit practices within a complex organisation.
- Strong analytical, communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse stakeholder groups.

Role Details

- Fixed term, full time appointment (15 months)
- Level 6/7: $96,898 - $119,989 plus 17% superannuation commensurate with experience and capability
- Location:



Wollongong Campus
- Valid Australian work rights required. Visa sponsorship is not available.
