Student One operates Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) in the heart of Brisbane's CBD. Since 2016, we've been building communities designed around resident safety, wellbeing and academic success - places where students genuinely thrive, not just sleep. The Opportunity

We're on the hunt for a warm, switched-on Leasing Agent to be the first friendly face in a student's Brisbane story. ?️?

Here's the thing about leasing in student accommodation: you're not just filling rooms. You're often talking to an 18-year-old moving cities (or countries) for the very first time, and to the parents quietly working out whether they can trust us with their most precious cargo. The enquiry you answer today becomes someone's home, study space and social world for the next year.

So yes, there are targets. There's a pipeline, a system, and an occupancy forecast. But the best Leasing Agents hit their numbers because they're brilliant with people, not instead of it. You'll own the journey from first enquiry to move-in day, working alongside our Sales & Marketing, Front Office and Operations teams to make it seamless.

What You'll Do

- Own the enquiry inbox: respond quickly, warmly and professionally to every lead

- Guide prospective residents (and their families) from first question to signed agreement

- Confidently work within the bounds of QLD Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) legislative requirements and keep yourself up to date on the changes as they could impact us!

- Hit occupancy and leasing targets through sharp sales conversations and smart lead management

- Process applications, documentation and residential agreements accurately and on time





- Keep resident records spotless in StarRez (our property management system)

- Partner with Front Office on arrivals, departures, inspections and onboarding experiences

- Become the go-to expert on our buildings, pricing, products and community offering

- Communicate resident rights and obligations clearly, in line with our agreements and QLD legislation

- Support retention initiatives: because the best leasing strategy is residents who want to stay!

- Chip in on leasing reporting and occupancy forecasting

- Represent Student One at property tours, campus events and promotional activities

What You'll Bring

- Experience in leasing, property management, reservations, accommodation, sales or hospitality; anywhere you've looked after customers and closed the deal

- A track record managing applications, leases, reservations or bookings end-to-end

- Working knowledge of QLD residential tenancy legislation and the RTA, or genuine eagerness to get across it rapid

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills (bonus points for patience with nervous first-time renters!)

- Real sales aptitude: you know how to turn an enquiry into a confirmed lease without the hard sell

- Confidence with property management systems and the Microsoft suite

- Standout organisation: you juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball

- Sharp attention to detail and administrative accuracy

- Full Australian working rights

- Bonus: experience with StarRez, RMS or PropertyMe, or a background in student accommodation

Ultimately, you're the reason a student steps off the plane or the train and thinks ‘yep, I made the right call.’
