An experienced Electrical Supervisor is required for a contract role in regional South Australia, for project role through electrical construction, energisation and commissioning on an upcoming renewables project.

Duties will include:

· Act as the Owner’s site-based representative for electrical construction, installation, testing, energisation and commissioning activities.

· Monitor contractor delivery against approved drawings, specifications, contracts, management plans, inspection and test plans, Australian standards and project requirements.

· Provide surveillance and assurance across wind turbine electrical installation, medium- and high-voltage reticulation, underground cabling, earthing, project substation, Switching Station, 275 kV transmission connection, SCADA/control systems and associated balance-of-plant electrical works.

· Inspect electrical works, witness hold points and tests, verify quality records, identify non-conformances and defects, and maintain transparent inspection, punch-list and close-out records.

· Review work packs, ITPs, test plans, method statements, technical queries, RFIs, red-line/as-built information, commissioning documentation and handover dossiers within the role’s delegated authority.

· Monitor electrical contractor progress against the programme, identify emerging constraints or interface risks, and provide accurate daily and weekly inputs to site reporting, look-aheads, risk registers and interface trackers.

· Coordinate electrical interfaces between turbine supply and installation, balance-of-plant, transmission/substation, network service provider, Owner’s Engineer, commissioning and operations teams.

· Participate in daily pre-starts,



SIMOPS and interface meetings, toolbox talks, coordination meetings, inspections, walkdowns and progress reviews.

· Support safe systems of work for HV activities, including permit-to-work, isolation, access, testing and energisation controls, while working closely with the HSE Advisor and contractor representatives.

· Escalate safety, quality, technical, programme and contractual issues promptly to the Construction Manager and relevant technical leads, with practical recommendations for resolution.

· Support review of progress claims and completion status by confirming installed quantities, milestones, defects and outstanding electrical works where requested.

· Support mechanical completion, energisation readiness, commissioning, performance testing, defect rectification, handover and transition to operations and maintenance.

· Maintain a visible field presence and constructive working relationships with the client, the Owner’s Engineer, network stakeholders, contractors, suppliers and the broader site team.

Ideally candidates will have the following:

· Electrical trade qualification, electrical engineering diploma/degree or equivalent recognised technical qualification relevant to major electrical infrastructure.





· Current or previously held unrestricted electrical licence is highly regarded; candidates must demonstrate sound knowledge of Australian electrical safety legislation, standards and high-voltage work practices.

· Typically 8–10+ years of site-based electrical construction, supervision, inspection, commissioning or owner-side assurance experience on major energy or infrastructure projects.

· Demonstrated experience on utility-scale wind farms is strongly preferred. Relevant experience across transmission lines, substations, power generation, BESS, utilities, mining or other high-voltage infrastructure will also be considered.

· Strong practical knowledge of HV/MV systems, underground reticulation and cabling, earthing, substations/switchyards, protection and control, SCADA, testing, commissioning, energisation and handover.

· Experience working in a client-side, Owner’s Engineer, superintendent, EPCM or independent assurance capacity, with the ability to monitor contractor compliance without taking over the contractor’s responsibilities.

· Proven capability reviewing drawings, specifications, ITPs, work packs, test results, quality records, RFIs/TQs, non-conformances, punch lists and as-built documentation.

· Experience managing interfaces across multiple contractors and disciplines in a live construction environment, including SIMOPS and energised or partially energised systems.

This is a contract role, commencing shortly. Candidates are required to be at site Monday through Friday.
