Senior Payroll Officer | Macquarie Park | $110k + Super

The Position:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to manage the end-to-end payroll function for approximately 700+ employees within a larger national payroll team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of their payroll portfolio, resolving complex queries and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. Alongside payroll processing, you will manage a high volume of email enquiries from employees and stakeholders nationally, requiring a strong customer service approach and the ability to communicate clearly.

Working as part of a larger payroll team, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and support the business through a period of change.

- End-to-end processing of payroll for approximately 700+ employees
- Managing a high-volume payroll portfolio within a larger payroll team
- Responding to and resolving national employee and stakeholder payroll enquiries
- Interpreting Awards and applying relevant payroll legislation
- Ensuring accurate processing of pay, leave, deductions and employee changes
- Supporting payroll compliance, reporting and reconciliations
- Applying sound knowledge of Superannuation and Payroll Tax




- Supporting Long Service Leave calculations and administration, with national knowledge highly regarded
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and data integrity
- Contributing to process improvements and payroll-related projects during a period of change

The Candidate:

- Strong end-to-end payroll experience in a complex, high-volume environment
- Experience independently managing a payroll portfolio of 700+ employees
- Experience using a large payroll system such as Micropay, ADP, Preceda etc
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and Awards
- Competent knowledge of Superannuation and Payroll Tax
- Understanding of Long Service Leave nationally highly regarded
- Confident managing high-volume email enquiries and resolving payroll issues
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to adapt to change
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to an established and supportive payroll team

- Hybrid working — 2 days per week in the office, including mandatory Thursdays
