About the role

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic College is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary & Secondary Teachers to join our growing educational community in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. Key responsibilities

- Deliver engaging and well-planned lessons across the primary or secondary curriculum, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students

- Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and academic achievement

- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement

- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum initiatives that align with school policies and educational standards

- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and behaviour

- Participate actively in school events, pastoral care activities and extracurricular programmes

- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development

- Contribute to a positive school culture that reflects Catholic values and principles





What we're looking for

- A current teaching qualification recognised in Australia (Bachelor of Education or equivalent)

- Current registration with the NT Teacher Registration Board or eligibility to obtain such registration

- Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate students

- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and families

- Commitment to Catholic education and alignment with the values and mission of Catholic Education Northern Territory.

- Resilience, flexibility and a positive attitude towards continuous professional development

- Working With Children Check clearance or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement

- Experience teaching in either primary or secondary settings is highly valued, though we welcome applications from early-career teachers with strong potential
