Help Us Grow the Future of Security at Watters

Watters is a leading regional electrical contracting business delivering electrical, communications, technology and security solutions across regional Victoria and New South Wales.

As we continue to develop our electronic security capability, we are looking for an experienced Senior Security Systems Specialist to join our Albury-based team.

This is not a traditional technician-only position.

It is a hybrid role for an experienced security professional who still enjoys being on the tools but is also ready to provide technical leadership, build strong client relationships and help grow the security side of our business.

Working in partnership with our Service Manager and supported by our established Shepparton Communications and AV department, you will play a key role in growing our security offering, developing our people, and identifying opportunities to deliver greater value for both existing and new clients.

About the Role

You will be Watters’ senior technical resource for electronic security systems, supporting the delivery of security projects, service work, system upgrades and ongoing client support.

Your role will include hands-on installation, programming, commissioning and fault-finding, particularly where complex technical expertise is required. You will also support solution development, estimating, customer relationships and the ongoing growth of our security capability.

This position will suit someone who enjoys combining technical work with client engagement, mentoring and commercial responsibility.

- Help establish consistent security standards, systems and ways of working

- Contribute ideas that improve service quality, efficiency and commercial performance

Project and Client Leadership

- Take technical ownership of security projects and complex service work

- Act as a key technical contact for clients throughout delivery

- Coordinate with project managers, technicians, subcontractors and suppliers

- Monitor progress and identify technical, operational and delivery risks

- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability and customer service

About You

You are an experienced electronic security professional who combines strong technical knowledge with sound judgement, initiative and excellent customer service.

You are comfortable working independently, solving complex problems and taking ownership of outcomes. You also enjoy sharing your knowledge and helping other people develop.

Importantly, you are interested in more than completing the next job. You want to help build a high-quality security operation, strengthen client relationships and contribute to the long-term growth of the business.
