Field Service Technician

We're helping them grow their team with a capable and proactive Field Service Technician who wants to be part of an innovative, high-impact organisation shaping the future of farming.
Location: Open to candidates based anywhere across Griffith, Parkes, Condobolin, Wagga Wagga and the broader Riverina, with Griffith being the ideal location.
Ideal background: Diesel Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Automotive Mechanic.
PURPOSE
As a Field Service Technician at SwarmFarm Robotics, you will be at the forefront of ensuring customer satisfaction and driving long term success with autonomous farming equipment. This is a hands on role that performs diagnostics and repair/maintenance on SwarmBot robots. It also encompasses customer engagement and liaising with the engineering team.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience, Education and/or Knowledge
- Practical experience in a trade or agricultural role is required
- A trade qualification is highly regarded
- Proven experience in customer relationship management, preferably in agriculture
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose, repair and document low voltage electrical faults
Skills & Attributes
- A passion for agricultural machinery and all things mechanical and electrical.
- Strong problem solving, conflict resolution and organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills, with flexibility to travel as required.
- Strong communication skills and able to build rapport with farmers and staff.
- Solid experience in Hydraulic electrical and mechanical repair.
- Demonstrated Intermediate computer skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service and Support
- Travel to customers to diagnose, repair and maintain all systems on SwarmFarm robots.
- Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Provide "over the phone" diagnostics and first line support for hardware issues in the field.
- Provide remote support after hours service when scheduled on call for support.
- Support customers with hands-on training to ensure they can confidently operate and care for their robots as required.
- Log and manage time and jobs through our ticketing and job record system, keeping records transparent and up to date.
- Build customer relationships by assisting with commissioning and delivery of new machines to avoid delivery delays, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Assist with training and support to help customers succeed with our technology.
Equipment and Professional Standards
- Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in excellent condition.
- Ensure parts are in good condition, accurately accounted for and reported onto job records.
- Maintain professionalism and uphold SwarmFarm values when interacting with customers and partners.
- Accurately report and document all field service activities:
- Time Sheets
- Job Records
- Customer feedback
- Fault reports
- Engineering change requests
- Overall machine condition
- Documentation of Learnings and process improvements
Other Responsibilities
- Promote company products and services. Assist sales with information as required.
- Assist on Field Days and lead generation.
