Service Manager - Education Support for Children in Care

We're seeking an experienced and passionate leader to oversee our Education Support for Children in Care (ESCC) Program across Inner Gippsland.

About the Role

The Education Support for Children in Care (ESCC) Service Manager will play a key leadership role within Junction Support Services, working closely with the ESCC Leading Teacher, ESCC Teachers, Care Services teams, schools, carers, and key stakeholders. The role is responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of a high-quality education support program that helps children and young people in care overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive educational outcomes.

The ESCC Service Manager will provide operational leadership, program oversight, and staff supervision while driving continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and service excellence. Working collaboratively with internal and external partners, the role will ensure children and young people receive coordinated, individualised support that promotes school engagement, educational achievement, and wellbeing.

Selection Criteria:

1. A relevant tertiary qualification in Education, Social Work, or another relevant field.
2. Minimum two years' experience in education service delivery, program management, and staff supervision.
3. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, supervision, and direction informed by sound theoretical knowledge.
4. Proven experience in planning, implementing, and evaluation programs and services.
5. Demonstrated ability to identify client and community needs and develop services that achieve positive outcomes.

- Full-time fixed-term position (0.8-1.0 FTE, 60-76 hours per fortnight).
- SCHADS Award Level 7, Pay Point 1-3.
