James Dowsley & Associates is a very reputable Criminal Law practice representing clients across Melbourne including the South Eastern and Bayside suburbs . We are currently looking for an experienced solicitor to join the team in our Dandenong office.

You will be responsible for:

- Representing clients, principally at the Dandenong Magistrates' Court and Dandenong Children's Court

- Analysing detailed Preliminary and Hand-up Briefs of Evidence, liaising with Counsel, Psychologists and other stakeholders

- Conferring with clients, taking instructions and providing legal advice

- Case management of high volume summary files in the Magistrates' Court and indictable files

To be successful you must have the following:





- Admitted as an Australian Legal Practitioner

- Exhibit clear written and oral communications skills

- Confident in courtroom representation

- Exceptional client managements skills

- Punctual and reliable with a robust work ethic and a passion for social justice
