As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a customer-focused Applications Estimator to join our Bayswater team.

About the Role

As an Applications Estimator, you will play a critical role in supporting customers and internal stakeholders by providing technical expertise in the selection, application, and estimation of pumping, filtration and associated equipment and systems. Working closely with customers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and our sales team, you will develop tailored pumping solutions that deliver performance, reliability, efficiency, and compliance outcomes.

This is an excellent chance for an engineering or technical sales professional who enjoys combining engineering knowledge with customer engagement and commercial problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Technical Support

- Respond to customer enquiries and provide timely technical assistance

- Assess customer requirements and recommend suitable pump systems, spare parts, and associated equipment

- Work closely with customers, consultants, and contractors to develop practical and effective pumping solutions

- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers

- Provide technical product and application support across a range of industries

Estimating & Sales Support

- Prepare accurate quotations, estimates, and technical proposals

- Review specifications, technical drawings, and project requirements

- Manage opportunities from enquiry through to order placement

- Support the sales team with technical and commercial information





- Assist with tender submissions and project documentation

Project & Order Coordination

- Coordinate with logistics, operations, and finance teams to ensure successful order fulfilment

- Monitor project and order progress to ensure customer expectations are met

- Assist in preparing shipping and export documentation where required

- Help identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer outcomes

Market & Product Development

- Stay up to date with industry trends, standards, products, and emerging technologies

- Monitor customer requirements, market activity, and competitor developments

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across products, services, and processes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of technical capability, commercial awareness, and strong customer relationship skills.

Ideally, you will have:

- Experience in pump applications, filtration, technical sales, estimating, or engineering support

- A mechanical engineering qualification or similar technical background

- Knowledge of pumping systems, fluid handling equipment, or the water industry

- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and P&IDs;

- Experience preparing quotations, proposals, and technical documentation

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

- A proactive, customer-focused and solutions-driven approach

Experience within the water, wastewater, mining, industrial, or process industries will be highly regarded.
