Support worker to join the team of a young adult who is looking to build their confidence, independence and everyday life skills. The focus of the role is to support the participant to do things for themselves wherever possible, rather than doing everything for them.

- Grocery shopping
- Cooking and meal preparation
- Cleaning and household tasks
- Budgeting and money management
- Attending appointments
- Transport and community access
- Building confidence and independent living skills
- Exploring future employment opportunities
About you
- Has a relaxed and friendly personality
- Can communicate respectfully and age-appropriately
- Is patient and able to give the participant time to process things
- Encourages independence without being pushy
- Is comfortable providing transport
- Enjoys community-based supports
- Can use initiative around the home
- Is reliable and consistent
- Previous disability support experience is preferred
