The role

- Focus on the discovery, evaluation and development of potential open-pit gold resources along the Round Dam Trend
- Perform work critical to driving Mineral Resource growth, extending the Life of Mine and supporting the company’s “Drive to 300koz+” production goal
- Initial efforts will focus on the Federal Flag North and Walhalla North deposits before progressing south to assess and advance the resource potential at Banjo, Macedon and Salmon Gums, as well as regional opportunities at Little Gem and Waihi
- Produce detailed geological mapping, investigating controls on mineralisation and developing comprehensive geological models to support targeted and effective drilling programs
- Accurately and timely document geological activities, monitoring program progress against budget and providing regular daily and weekly reporting to the broader corporate team
- Contribute to the mentoring and development of junior geological staff, supporting the transfer of technical knowledge and maintaining high standards across the Resource Development team

About you





- Tertiary qualified Geologist with recent and relevant regional exploration experience, ideally 5+ years
- Member of AusIMM/AIG, SEG or similar
- Strong field work skills and a “boots on the ground” generalist approach to mapping and developing a conceptual geology model
- Passionate about fuelling the exploration pipeline through quality targeting, proving up new mines and making new discoveries
- Experience coaching and training employees
- Proven ability to compile multiple geology datasets to unravel the geology via analysis and interpretation
- Able to use industry standard mining and GIS software, preferably Leapfrog and QGIS
- Enjoy working as part of a energetic company as we continually revise our strategy to bring new mines online and setup for future discoveries
- Class C AUS manual driver’s licence
- Awareness of the Workplace Health and Safety Act Regulations, and the WA Aboriginal Heritage Act
- Current First Aid Certificate
