Do you want to provide clinical and administrative assistance and support to Allied Health Professionals (including Social Work, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Psychology) to ensure the delivery of a high-quality mental health care in the general inpatient setting?

Key Responsibilities:

- Working on the general inpatient psychiatry ward
- Support members of the Allied Health team across multiple disciplines (Social Work, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Psychology) to provide a high standard of clinical and administrative care to patients, including;
- Triaging allied health referrals
- Liaising with external agencies, with regards to care
- Group intervention delivery and set up
- Assisting with the production of allied health resources
- Supporting discharge planning

Essential Criteria:

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance

Highly Desired Criteria:

- Experience working in an inpatient mental health hospital environment
- Experience in or intertest in psychiatric care
- Experience facilitating group programs
- High degree of organisation and administrative skills
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively to complete activities
