Our client is a leading law firm with a highly respected Australian practice and an outstanding reputation in the market. An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Legal PA / Legal Secretary to join their thriving Restructuring & Insolvency team, supporting a wonderful Partner and a group of talented, high-performing lawyers.
This is a role for someone who loves being at the heart of a busy practice, enjoys building strong working relationships, and takes pride in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. You'll be involved in interesting, high-profile matters within a supportive and collaborative team.
The Role
As a trusted member of the team, you'll provide high-level legal and administrative support while helping to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of this busy practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing complex diaries, inboxes, meetings and travel arrangements
- Coordinating client and matter administration from onboarding through to completion
- Managing compliance requirements, conflict checks and engagement documentation
- Preparing and processing billing and invoicing
- Preparing correspondence, legal documents, presentations and other materials
- Coordinating document production, filing and records management
- Managing expenses and general practice administration
- Liaising confidently with clients and internal stakeholders
- Supporting the wider team and contributing to a collaborative team environment
About You
We're looking for a proactive,
organised and personable Legal PA / Legal Secretary who enjoys being a true business partner and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Ideally, you will bring:
- 3-8 years' experience as a Legal PA or Legal Secretary
- Previous experience supporting a Partner and legal team within a busy law firm
- Strong end-to-end billing and invoicing experience
- Experience with client and matter administration, compliance and onboarding processes
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and a client-focused approach
- Discretion, sound judgement and the ability to work with confidential information
- A collaborative, positive and can-do attitude
