Our client established mid-sized commercial builder looking to appoint a Site Manager due to an increased workload.
They deliver fit-out and heavy refurbishment projects up to $15M, with a particularly strong pipeline of work in live and operational environments.
Projects are varied, covering corporate offices, universities, retail and healthcare, and you'll have the chance to work across all of them.

The role
Reporting to the Project Manager and Director, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day site delivery, including:

- Programming, sequencing and coordination of works
- Managing subcontractors and site teams
- Working around live environments and occupied buildings
- WHS, QA and site documentation
- Coordinating consultants, services and stakeholders
- Managing finishes, defects and handover
- Keeping the PM informed on programme, risks and site progress

The business

This is a straightforward, old-school construction business in a good way.
Experienced people, good relationships with subcontractors and a focus on getting projects delivered properly without unnecessary layers of management.
Due to the nature of live-environment refurbishment, some weekend work is required. Importantly, the business understands the impact this can have.
They operate a shared roster across Site Managers and Project Managers,



spreading weekend requirements across the team rather than continually relying on the same people. Maintaining a reasonable work-life balance is important to the leadership team.

About you

You'll have experience as a Site Manager within commercial construction, with exposure to fit-out, refurbishment or live environments highly regarded.
You'll be comfortable managing trades, programmes and clients while taking genuine ownership of your site.
