About the Role

In this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:

- Greeting patients and their families and responding to their needs
- Providing a professional telephone service
- Providing directions and advice regarding locations of services/and/or patients within the facility

Provide an efficient and professional administrative support, which includes:
- To provide excellent customer focus in a friendly and helpful manner, maintain the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with parents, patients, members of the public and departmental staff both in person and over the telephone.
- Undertaking administrative tasks to support patient flow, patient care and movements within the facility
- Liaising with various departments with regards to resources required
- Maintaining data integrity by checking all data in the patient information and billing systems and modifying/updating to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain and provide support in accordance with policies and procedures for both medical and administrative records
- Proficiently complete functions associated with the wait listing of patients, bookings for appointments, managing appointment cancellations, rescheduling and removals from the waiting list using the relevant information systems in a timely manner.
- Prioritise workload effectively and perform duties responsibly in the absence of supervision




- Manage and undertake specific administration duties as directed
- Demonstrate high work ethics, the ability to work autonomously and a high level of pride in your work.
- Adhere to relevant Queensland Health policies, standards and relevant legislative requirements, providing feedback on recommendations for improvements to Line Manager
