An established organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support a significant workforce integration and payroll compliance project. This is a hands-on opportunity for a payroll professional with strong Chris21 experience who enjoys working with complex data, employee records and entitlement reviews. You will play a key role in validating employee service histories and ensuring leave entitlements are accurate following organisational change activities.
Your new role
Working closely with Payroll, People & Culture and Finance teams, you will review employee records, analyse payroll data and assist with the reconciliation of long service leave and other employee entitlements.
Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing employee service histories, payroll records and leave balances
Analysing and validating data within Chris21
Assessing long service leave entitlements against relevant legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
Reviewing transferred employee records and supporting documentation
Preparing audit schedules, reconciliation reports and findings
Identifying discrepancies, anomalies and records requiring further investigation
Supporting the implementation of approved payroll adjustments
Assisting with payroll-related projects and compliance activities as required
Maintaining accurate records and audit documentation throughout the review process
What you'll need to succeed
Demonstrated hands-on experience using Chris21
Previous experience in payroll auditing, payroll administration, entitlement reviews or payroll compliance
Strong understanding of long service leave calculations and employee entitlements
Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reconciliation
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and quickly become productive within a project environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
