Direct Steel Wagga is looking for a reliable and motivated Storeperson to join our team.
This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety and a great opportunity to learn all aspects of the steel industry. Previous steel industry experience or knowledge would be advantageous, but isn’t necessary – if you have the right attitude and are willing to learn, we’ll train you up.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Picking and preparing customer orders
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Organising and maintaining stock within the warehouse and yard
- Using inventory systems to manage and monitor stock
- Checking incoming goods and ensuring they are received in good condition
- Keeping track of stock within the warehouse and yard
- Assisting customers when required
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workplace
- Following all workplace health and safety requirements
What We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate will:
- Be reliable and prepared for physical, hands-on work
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Be able to follow instructions and work safely
- Work well within a team environment
- Hold a current driver’s licence
- Have basic computer skills and be willing to learn recent programs
- Hold a forklift licence – preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of steel products would be advantageous, but is not required

Hours
This is a full-time, secure position.
Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Most Saturdays: 8:00am – 12:00pm
