We are seeking a skilled and experienced Trainer/Assessor to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality vocational education and training to our students. This position offers the opportunity to grow and succeed in a supportive and team-oriented work environment.
What you'll be doing
- Deliver training in Engineering Technology (Civil Engineering Design) to international students.
- Assess students' skills and give helpful feedback to support their learning.
- Work with experts and industry partners to keep course content current and relevant.
- Keep accurate student records and help improve training materials and processes.
- Provide support to students to help them succeed in their studies.
- Take part in professional development to stay updated on industry trends and teaching methods.
What we're looking for:
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and relevant local qualifications (or overseas equivalent approved by Engineers Australia).
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree or equivalent is required for this position.
- At least 2 years' experience as a Trainer/Assessor in the education and training sector,
with proven skills in the units you deliver and ability to link your work experience to competency requirements.
- Strong teaching and assessment skills, able to support different learning styles, with good communication skills to engage and motivate international students.
- Comfortable using learning management systems and educational technology.
- Experience in the civil construction industry, including practical knowledge of Revit Software and demonstrated knowledge about BIM, and valid industry currency.
- Committed to ongoing professional development, with knowledge of VET requirements, relevant training activities.
- Have a valid industry currency.
- Understanding of the Standards for RTO 2025, ESOS Act 200 and National Code 2018.
- A team player who adapts well and focuses on delivering quality results.
- Engineers Australia membership (preferable).
- Valid work visa is required at the time of application.
