About the Role

As a Case Management Specialist, you'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of workers compensation claims, including complex physical injury, psychological injury and dispute matters. You'll work closely with workers, employers, treatment providers and rehabilitation specialists to deliver positive recovery and return-to-work outcomes.

Duties
It's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same. As a Case Management Specialist, you will:
- Manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims from lodgement through to closure, including complex claims.
- Make informed decisions regarding liability, compensation benefits and injury management plans.
- Build trusted relationships with injured workers, employers and service providers to support recovery outcomes.
- Coordinate and lead communication with medical, rehabilitation and treatment providers.
- Provide guidance and support to colleagues on complex claim matters.
- Ensure claims are managed in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures.
- Conduct quality assurance activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Use sound judgement to resolve complex issues and deliver the best outcomes for the people we serve.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing complex claims within workers compensation, personal injury or life insurance, or at least 1 year experience as a Claims Advisor.
- Strong understanding of claims management, injury management and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to manage complexity, make sound decisions and solve problems effectively.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of your portfolio.
- A customer-focused mindset with a passion for helping people.
