This is a hands-on role suited to someone experienced in operating mobile crushing and screening equipment who is also willing to assist with basic plant maintenance.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor a mobile horizontal shaft impact crusher and screening plant
- Operate a 35-tonne excavator to feed the crushing plant
- Operate a front-end loader to manage stockpiles and load material
- Complete daily plant inspections and pre-start checks
- Monitor material flow and plant performance
- Perform basic maintenance on the horizontal shaft impact crusher and screen, including cleaning, greasing, inspections and minor adjustments
- Assist with changing wear parts and clearing blockages when required
- Identify and report faults, excessive wear or potential mechanical issues
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow site procedures, SWMS requirements and isolation/lockout procedures
About you
- Proven experience operating mobile crushing and screening equipment
- Competency operating a 35-tonne excavator
- Competency operating a front-end loader
- A good understanding of crushing plant operation and material flow
- Basic mechanical knowledge and a willingness to undertake routine maintenance
- A solid commitment to workplace health and safety
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- A reliable, practical and hands-on approach to work
- Relevant machinery competencies and the right to work in Australia
