Due to the business growing, we are now looking for a professional and reliable Civil Engineering Drafter to join our team.
Annual Salary: $89,960 plus superannuation contributions
Duties and Responsibilities of Civil Engineering Drafter
- Develop and produce high-quality civil engineering drawings, plans, and technical layouts using CAD software, ensuring all outputs meet applicable standards, codes, and project specifications.
- Interpret engineering designs and project requirements, working closely with engineers to translate concepts into accurate and practical drafting solutions.
- Carry out calculations and basic analysis to support design and drafting activities.
- Prepare quantity take-offs,
estimate material requirements, and assist in compiling project cost estimates and documentation.
- Participate in site inspections to collect relevant data, including site conditions, materials, and measurements, and assist with related testing where required.
- Review and update drawings as needed, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with project teams to resolve issues efficiently and maintain project timelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least a Bachelor
- At least five years relevant working experience
Essential Skills
- Demonstrated experience using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong technical and computer skills with the ability to produce precise and detailed work.
- Sound knowledge of civil engineering practices, standards, and documentation requirements.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work autonomously while also contributing positively within a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with robust organisational and time management skills.
- Proven problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Previous exposure to construction projects will be highly advantageous.
