Lead, inspire, and grow as Assistant Director at a brand-new service, shaping culture, quality, and success from day one.

The Chance

Working closely with the Centre Director, you will support the day-to-day operations of the service while mentoring and developing educators, driving quality practice, and fostering a collaborative and qualified environment. This role is ideal for a confident leader looking to further develop their management skills within a high-quality early learning setting.

The Centre

This purpose-built early learning service has been thoughtfully designed to provide children with inspiring indoor and outdoor learning environments that encourage curiosity, creativity, and exploration. With a strong commitment to quality education and care, the centre offers a supportive and professional workplace where educators are empowered to grow, contribute ideas, and achieve their career goals. As a founding member of the leadership team, you will have the unique opportunity to help shape the centre’s culture, values, and future success.

- Competitive salary package of up to $90,000 + super, depending on experience and qualifications

The Ideal Applicant

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced leader with a proven track record as a leader in a long day care or early learning setting. You will bring a strong professional presence and the ability to lead with confidence, clarity, and integrity.

Key Requirements

- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- Strong working knowledge of the EYLF, National Quality Standard, and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to drive quality improvement and maintain compliance
- Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
- Valid Working With Children Check and RHHAN-EC
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
