n Vineyard Veterinary Hospital is seeking a dedicated Small Animal Veterinarian to join — and help guide — our friendly, collaborative team on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Clinic Overview:
n

- Established, trusted practice serving the community since the early 1980s
n
- Strong staff retention, particularly within our nursing team
n
- Many nurses have been with us 5+ years
n
- All nurses are fully qualified, with ongoing TAFE support if required
n
- We proactively support nurses nearing completion of their qualifications
n

You'll enjoy a diverse and rewarding caseload including:
n
n
- Consulting and building strong client relationships
n
- Performing routine and advanced surgeries (including soft tissue and orthopaedics)
n
- Working up cases with advanced diagnostics
n
- Preventative health and wellness care
n
- Emergency and urgent case management
n
- Collaborating closely with skilled nurses and fellow vets
n
- Maintaining high-quality clinical records
n
n
Facilities & Workflow:
n
n
- Clinic hours: 8:00am – 12:00pm consults
n
- Afternoon surgical block
n
- Approximately 12 consults per vet per day when fully booked
n
- 4 consult rooms for efficient workflow
n
- Advanced equipment including:
n
- MyLab X8 high-tech ultrasound machine
n
- Digital X-ray with cloud-based imaging
n
- Some cases referred to emergency centres after-hours
n
- Artificial insemination and reproductive work performed in office
n
n
After-Hours & On-Call:
n
n
- Mostly phone advice with occasional procedures (e.g. caesareans)
n
- On-call roster: approx. 1 night per week (pager system)
n
- Vet takes phone home for triage
n
- Paid after-hours work, including:
n
- Call-out fee
n
- 40–50% of professional consult fee per case
n
- Caesareans can be frequent and financially rewarding
n
n

About You:
n
n
- BVSc (or equivalent) with NSW registration (or eligibility)
n
- Ideally 3+ years' experience in small animal practice
n
- Confident in both consulting and surgery
n
- Strong communicator and team player
n
- Passionate about high-quality patient care and client relationships
