THE CHANCE

Mt St Michael's College is a Catholic girls' school of 900 students (Years 5 - 12) situated in the leafy avenues of Ashgrove, 5 kms from the CBD. The College maintains a tradition of academic excellence, extensive co-curricular activities, and student wellbeing programs across the College.

The College is seeking an experienced and innovative educational leader to join its Leadership Team as Dean of Teaching and Learning. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and collaborative leader who is passionate about enhancing student outcomes and shaping a culture of excellence across the College.

Working closely with the Principal, the Dean of Teaching and Learning provides leadership of the College's teaching and learning agenda, ensuring alignment with the College's mission, values and strategic priorities. The role is instrumental in fostering a high-performing learning culture that empowers both students and staff to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will lead evidence-informed practice, curriculum innovation, and inclusive education initiatives while championing the effective integration of contemporary technologies to enhance teaching, learning and student engagement. As a key member of the Leadership Team, they will support professional growth, contribute to strategic decision-making, and promote a culture of continuous improvement across the College.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead a contemporary teaching and learning culture that promotes excellence in student achievement.
- Drive evidence-informed practice, data-informed improvement, curriculum innovation and inclusive learning across the College.




- Lead and support Curriculum Middle Leaders and teachers to strengthen professional capability and teaching practice.
- Contribute to the strategic leadership, curriculum compliance and ongoing development of the College community.
- Model professional excellence while teaching one class.

- SC4 Proven ability to lead innovation in education through the effective integration of digital technologies, data-informed practice and inclusive learning approaches that support the diverse needs of students.
- SC5 Highly developed leadership, communication and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated capacity to mentor and develop staff, foster collaborative partnerships, and contribute effectively as a member of a high-performing Leadership Team.
