A TRL Competition Venue Manager is responsible for delivering our growing Competitions. It is a role that incorporates a multitude of different responsibilities from managing referees, customer engagement, marketing, refereeing, coaching Junior TRL and administration.

Touch Rugby League (TRL) is Australia's fastest growing social sport with up to 1,000 teams competing each week across Australia. We are recruiting for staff for our Brisbane and Ipswich competitions.

What are the requirements for the role?

We are seeking someone that meets the following criteria:

Has a valid Blue Card (or is prepared to obtain one);

Has a current First Aid/CPR qualification (or is prepared to update their qualification prior to commencement);

Has a current driver's licence and access to a car;

Can work at least two weekday evenings;

Is comfortable refereeing games as part of the role, or willing to learn - full training will be provided;

Has strong customer service and communication skills;

Is reliable, organised and confident working independently; and

Enjoys being involved in sport and working with people.

You don't need to be experienced to apply. If you're enthusiastic about sport and willing to get involved in all areas, we can provide the training you need.

Hours and responsibilities?

Hours:

up to 20 hours for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing one or multiple weeknight TRL competitions throughout Brisbane and/or Ipswich;

Refereeing games as part of the Venue Manager role (when required);

Supporting and coordinating referees across the competition;





Creating a positive experience for players and teams;

Managing competition operations and resolving issues as they arise;

Assisting with TRL Junior competitions when in season;

Supporting marketing and customer engagement activities;

Completing administration and reporting as required; and

Contributing to the ongoing growth and improvement of TRL competitions.

Additional Opportunities

Our sister business, Billy's Buddies (a children's sports program for 2 to 5 year olds) is also recruiting staff for their theme based weekly program. These programs run at childcare centres and on Saturday mornings at local clubs and fields. If you are interested, looking for an additional 10-15 hours and have 3-4 mornings available (Monday through Saturday).

This role is more than just running a competition. It's an chance to get involved across different areas of sport and develop experience in:

Sports operations and venue management;

Refereeing and game management;

Customer service and relationship management;

Sports marketing;

Team leadership; and

Administration and event delivery.
